“Alexander Calder developed a special way of bending and twisting wire to create his 3D 'drawings in space', or mobiles. This standing mobile sways and moves gently in the air like fish swimming through water. A lot of abstract art, like this example, shows things from the world in a different way. Other abstract art doesn't even pretend to be part of the world we know.”
