"Life is a spiral. There is a beginning and an end, and in between there are no constants. One turn follows another, sometimes abrupt and then confortably slow, and there is no-one who can tell you precisely how many of life's lessons still await you. Life twists and turns in a spiral around you and you must repeatedly try to gain a purchase and not fall. Sometimes you need to be flexible and let yourself go with the flow, at other times you need to learn to stand on your own two feet and face up to whatever you encounter on the way. In any case, it always requires considerable effort. And that's also the reason why I consciously opted for a pose requiring effort, strength and concentration. Just like life itself."
